My girls' kindergarten is in BK4 . This is the second year they are in the kindy. Tharini is a senior now....she's in K2 meanwhile Thurgashini is in K1. My husband and I have only got praises for their kindergarten teachers. As teachers ourselves, we know, it is not easy to handle preschoolers what more kids who are 3 years old and are still dependant on diapers. Without sulking, the teachers would do everything for them. One need to have the dedication and commitment to handle the little ones. Actually they are the unsung heroes. They don't get noticed and don't get much appreciation from anyone as well. How many of us still remember our kindergarten teacher's name and mind you they are the ones who first taught us to recognise, read and write the alphabets. My husband and I are blessed to get good, dedicated and caring teachers. We didn't encounter any problems on the first day of school, be it last year or this year. Thank god, we didn't have to go through that ordeal. We have seen numerous dramas and heart wrenching scenes on the first day of school. Our kids had settled down well in their classes. The girls were very enthusiastic to go back to school after the long break. In fact, they were looking forward to get more new books. Last year, the girls were exempted from wearing the school uniforms as their eczema was quite bad. Since the uniform is not made of cotton, we were worried it might aggravate the condition. The teachers were kind enough to allow them to go to school in their house clothes. Not enough of that, the teachers would apply the cream which we had provided to them every hourly. I can only marvelled at them. This year before the school reopened, my girls had reprimanded me saying that they will go to school only in their school uniforms.Their eczema has subsided a lot. Their skin is very much better now. So, they are back in their school uniforms. No more house clothes!
Me too can't remember kindergarten teachers' name.. may be at that time we're too young to remember other person name.. I only can remember my primary & secondary school teacher :) Ur lil daughter is so cute.. :)
